Zine
This is the final printed cover for my Zine, the cover is printed on gloss paper to mimic a magazine cover. This has come out really well just the effect that was deisred. I had previously printed on matt paper and it did not have the same impact as the gloss, so for that reason it was obviously changed.

National Space Centre
The National Space centre is where the celibration of fifty years of space exploreation will take place so I thought it only appropriate to decorate it apropriatly, trying as always to keep it relevant to and in keeping with the other work i have done to make a solid identity throughout. A part from some suspect Photoshopping I think I have achieved this by using the same imagery as the billboards as well as some from the Zine.

Layout Print
Finally I have managed to get the printing to work correctly and produce a black that covers the whole spread. This indeed the final layout designed and printed, three days and probably some hair loss later I am happy with the way the images have come out the printer. Although this has been a horrible experience there are allot of positives come out of the process I have had to go through to get a good quality print using the lazar printers within college instead of the better ink jets in the dungeon. Through countless descusions with Mike I have found a 'cheats' way round the problems I have had. the difference in colours that I have encountered should not be an issue at a comercial printers or indeed in on better quality printers such as the ones in digital print.

Bumper Stickers
Within the crit, something that came up was it would be good to have some free give away procts for example stickers, I was already working on some posters/bumper stickes that could be given away. I have tried to use iconic quotes from throughout manned space history, I wanted to keep these simple and clean. This stickers could be given away with the Zine or at the National Space Centre.
T-Shirts
After the final crit it was surgested to me that I create more promotional material, due to this I have considered t-shirts as somthing that could be sold or given away at the National Space Centre, I have tried to look at a few different posibliities for the t-shirts, using photography and some vector art. The t-shirts are abit of a side thought, spinning off from the crit, if I had more time to think about it I could have a greater number of designs and indeed get something printed.

Final Crit
The
final and most useful crit, I think I got most ouut of this crit, good
fedback an lots to concider and work on. I know I need to work on a
wider range of products for the exhibition, not only the Zine and the
Advertisement through posters, banners and billboards. time permitting I
will endeavour to apply some of my feed back to my work, especially the
promo materials.
Billboards
Using some of the my billboard designs I have mocked up some images of what my boards may look like. I'm quite pleased with the way they look I think they are quite engaging. Ive tried as wih most parts of my project to use stricking imagery to to excite people about space and mans presence there. On a personal level I think that the ones with the US astronaut on the moon are the most striking, although they have no or little information on, this could be a problem, for people not knowing what they are about, on the other hand anyone who has come into contact with the Zine should link the two together.
Zine in Context
'Whats that in the midst of the Leeds College Art (and Design) library, it must be a Zine based around space, I think ill read it as it strikes me as the best magazine in the LCA (D) library.' Hopefully this is what people will think of this Zine and pick it up, the gloss finish with the foil belly band are two aspects of the Zine that are to entice a budding young reader to learn more about space.
The placement of the Zine will be in libraries across the country it could be placed in University larbaries but the main point of delivery would be in secondary schools. The above pictures are a representation of how the Zine could be displayed.
