Final Sequence
Final sequence and finally done!
Packaging Development
This is an idea I have had for the dist as we cannot stick anything to the DVD-R I thought I'd make a stencil of my film titles and sharpy it onto the disc, this has worked quite well, although it is not the neatest thing in the world I still think it works as a concept. Although I have since discovered that videos written onto it do not work, but I will still submit if only for a mock up of what such a disc might look like.
This is the stecil previously mensioned, I lightly spray mounted it onto the disc before going to town with a sharpy pen.
My first packaging idea was to buy an old film reel tin and place my CD inside, I bought a tin but unfortunatly it was too small, therfore with time against me I decided that I should attempt to make card replica, this is my first mock up attempt, shocking I know, it was meant to look a little rough and redy but this just looks like a poorly constructed card cilinder, which it is.
Attempt number two although with at least one roll less of masking tape and non of it crudly coloured in it still did not have the desired effect of an of cinema reel tin, this was not acceptable so I had to change tack completly and make something simple and effective as a piece of design that encorperated the imagery of my work but also represented in some way film.
Alas attempt number three finished at 7:45 the evening before hand in, but it is much better than the feable attempts that where it predecessors. Using the text from the main videos, and still managingto get a bit of masking tape into the finished design i have tried to create something that works praticaly for the purposes of the hand in but also comunicates somthing of my original idea.
Crit [07-02-12]
In today's session we where given the opportunity to look over a range of different peoples work, essentially we proof read there work making sure it worked in terms of what they where trying to produce, but more importantly that it actually functioned, everything working. We also had the opertunity to review each others packaging, with along with watching others work was intresting but altogether mostly benificial, as we where able to here from others what they thought about our final efforts and more importantly what in the short time we have could be changed or amended for the best result. The feed back I recieved was good and I am pleased with my finished article ultimatly there is always so much more you can do, but as somthing completly new to me I have done a satifactory job of regaurding the final submission.

Photoshop Assets
Here are all the Photoshop assets I have used to create my sequence, they include the different layers I have produced to be able to utilize them in After Effects creating images that look 3D. `Some of the images where harder that others to Photshop to get rid of the foreground, but overall the images don't look to bad, once in After Effects it is not as noticeable to see the cutting.

Unused Photoshop Assets
Here are the photoshop assets I have created for various films within my top ten, these particular images did not make the final composition usually because there where better more iconic imagery, but on some occasions I had edited the image and then realised that the image was far to small and would therefore be pixclated.
Illustrator Assets Unused
This is the vector art work I have created for the main sequence and idents, I have decided that I will not be using the imagery as I think the use of photographs would suit the cinema more creating a more epic cinematic feel especially with the music I have chosen for my main sequence.

Final Crit [01-02-12]
At the beginning of this crit we where asked to write questions we felt we needed the answer to regarding our work and how we felt about it. I felt the people who critted my work where very critical which of course is a good thing, sometimes it can be a little overwhelming when you feel you have so little time to complete something seemingly never ending, but once you reflect on the feedback and take sometime to understand digest it it become allot of help to your work, especially with a project in which I did not feel very confident of engaged with I think I started to enjoy and became most engaged in the work after this crit. This perhaps was to late in the day, but better late than never and I think I have produced better work because of it.
60 Secs 2
In this slightly adapted version I have managed to cut a second but it will need compressing much more that that if it is to work as a sequence, I have also changed the font and colour of the text, but after discussion with peers, I think I will remove the text all together as the quotes and imagery is iconic enough, therefore saying what films they are is not necessary.
60 Second Sequence
Here is my first 29 seconds of my 60 second sequence, my main concerns with the sequence is the pacing I think it is far to slow although the music lends its self to slower movement there are only two films in 30 seconds. this is something I'm sure will come up in the crit and hopefully I will be able to discus.
